It's a pin of hope, of inspiration - a reminder to let go of the bad and allow the good in.  Or, even if it's a desperate wish!   We all have those years where you just think 'what TF now?'  I'd have loved to have been gifted this during some of those times - just a recognition that life's being a bit shit right now but it'll get better...
